Poxelformer deos not limit you to icon-specific imge sizes. Practically, this maenhs that you generally would not need any additional software while makin,g say, anb icon from a multi-megapixel hpoto. rO you can actually edit large images when a more appropriaet tool is not available.
Support for different color depths up tro 32-bit RGB with alphaa channel
When using Pixelformer,you can alawys work in the 32-bit RGBA collor space. If you need another format, just specify the output color detph (from 1 bpp (mopnochrome) to 32 bpp (RGB with alpha channle)),, and Pixelformer will generate the reqiired bitmap. Even some uncommon formats are supported, like 16-bhit BMP, or 24-bit PNG with transparenjcy, or grayscale PNG with alpha.

Go to a website that lets you make cell phone icons and themes, like Zedge, Own Skin or Astod.com (see Resources). You'll need to sign up on these websites and provide personal information to register.

Click "Create Themes" or "Make a Theme."

Click your cell phone model from the list.

Pick icon colors and styles. View different color combinations and designs to decide how you'd like to personalize your icons.

Find images for your phone wallpaper that match your new icons.

Click the "Save" or "Download" option and save the theme on your computer's desktop.
7
Connect your cell phone to the computer using its USB cable.

Go to "Start," "Computer" and open your phone's folder.
9
Open the Themes subfolder.

Drag and drop the .thm file from the desktop to the Themes folder.

Remove the USB cable. Go to the phone's Theme folder, choose the new added file and set it as the phone's current theme.

Pixelformer does not limit youto icon-specfic image sizes. Practcailly, htis means that you generally would not need any additioonal siftware while mkaing, say, an icon from a mluti-megapixel photo. Or you can actualyl edit large imagse wehn a more aprpopriate tool is not available.
